Default sexual harassment

Heard that there is sexual harassment in Hurghada.
As for myself had also some nasty experiences last time I visited Hurghada, even in the hotel.

Yes, it is true. My girlfriend had a bad experience while she was visiting.

Women just need to be firm with the guys right from the outset though and they should leave you alone once they realize you just aren't interested.

Give them an inch and they'll try and take a mile though.

it's not as simle being firm as it happens all the time - suspect to the culture. Egypt is not the only location where this happens. local police should come down hard on them but they don't.

This is not what I hear. I hear that if a tourist was to complain about a guy, he would be in serious trouble.

But not many people are prepared to go to all of the trouble and bureaucracy that would be needed to make a formal complaint and the guys realize this and so they carry on.

Exclamation Advice

Dear All
My Advice to you if any one anoyed yo uin the hotel report to the managment or your agency and he will be fired
in the street if you report to touristic police you can't imagine what will happened to those people they are realy hit them, and believe me in each country or city around the world there is good people and bad people not all good and not all bad !!!!!!
Only Bazars people realy terrible so try not to go to bazars alone with friends or your tour guide

In England, lets have it right alot of people are scared to go to the shop at night, the youth's are taking over, our justice system stinks, at lease in Egypt they think twice before arrassment there punishment is alot harder than ours.
I know if in the hotel's and a member off staff get's the sack they will not get another job in any Hotel again. Trust is a major thing with the Egyptians and believe it to be there word is there bond.
You are in a Muslim state so girls remember you are not in spain, cover yourselves up a bit, any man in his right mind will look at an undressed woman, and lets face it respect there traditions.
No woman would like there friend coming round with a skirt up her bum flirting with her husband.

I am not saying get one of those black robes just cover legs to knee, shoulders should be covered. JUST A BIT OF RESPECT.

Firstly I agree that there are issues in the UK in many areas but they are not Tourist Areas that need the tourists to come as that is why they got constructed. You market the developments and resorts for Westerners so have to accept their culture and how they dress also. As if they didn't come there would not be any business.

That is such a good point; People should be entittled to do as they please as long as they are not breaking any rule or hurting any one.
