isabella you are wonderful, this is a very useful information, especially when you don't know anybody there, at least we have a tread to start with, the place is unfurnished and i need to furnish the place in 2weeks, to rent it out as quickly as possible. thank you so much

Morning all - so far so good and managed to get connected again this morning. It looks like its going to be another lovely day with temps hitting aroun 25 / 26 here in the South and looks to be the same for tomorrow as well.

So true Sarah - isnt it lovely. I think it is lovely when you hear the children playing happily outside. The dog was sunbathing yesterday as well!

It's just along the road heading south on the right hand side. You really can't miss it. Even we managed to find it. Free internet access also. Beer is 12 Egp for a bottle of Stella.

Forgot to mention earlier.

Had a moment of real excitement yesterday when I went to the Carrefour shopping mall. NEXT WAS OPEN!!!!!!

I headed straight in - as you do, and started to have a good look round. Poor hubby was left pacing outside. Anyway, what a disappointment. They have some nice things but seem to have chosen to keep things on the conservative side. Why not appeal to the local market, I thought. They have obviously done their homework.

However, what about the thousands of expat women in Cairo who would clear the stock in a couple of days if it was anything like the clothing on their website. All was not lost though. I managed to find a plain white cotton t shirt (no lycra) that I have been trying to find for about 2 months.

Roll on Top Shop and H & M.
