Hi Queenie,

Peckham old kent road borders actually lol,East Surrey Grove(Not there anymore) down St Georges way, opposite the park with a bridge over nothing LOL (there used to be a canal there) i actually remember it way back in the late sixties, and now i am feeling all of my 44 years (whistfull sigh)

St Reatham eh lol,i used to go out with a girl(beautiful she was) who lived at the top of Kings Avenue,we were always in the crown & Sceptre at the top of Brixton Hill back in the crazy eighties,me and the chaps used to go dancing at the Cats Whiskers pretty much every saturday,Ahhhhh happy days LOL

Anyway thanks for the reply, yep i kind of prefer Lingfield these days as opposed to Sth London now i,m heading toward my dotage : O (.

Anyway as for property,i,m completing on my remortgage for the Hurghada project(my term for the apartment ) today, and i,m just off to put the contracts in the post, and its me birthday on Sunday i,ll be 45 ish WooooooHooooooo LOL

Once again thanks for the reply Queenie,

From Ed & Deb (whose in Jersey working for the next 5 months : O < )

Boycie: Where d'you get those aces from?
Del Boy: Same place you got those kings. I always knew you were cheating, Boycie.
Boycie: Yeah, how?
Del Boy: 'Cause that wasn't the hand that I dealt you.

Hi Isab
Don't you think that this forum should be printed and be a book for any traveller to guide him or her through his journey of investment and be like free newsletter but printed? why don't we make a news letter for thjis forum?

Not such a little onliine family these days George! I wonder how many members we have on the Egypt form now?

I don't think we can find out how many on each forum though. There's over 1000 overall on totallyproperty and I have a feeling that we have the majority here

Default Moving to El Gouna

Hi all,

This is my last day on the computer for a while. The removal company are coming in tomorrow to do the move to the UK so the electrical stuff has to go. They are coming in again on the 30th and 31st to pack up for El Gouna and we move down on the 1st June.
I am really excited and nervous but I am pretty sure we have made the right decision.
I will be back on line later but have to pack up the computer tonight.

Lindsay, Martin, how is your packing going?

Margaret

Hi Margaret

Just read your post with interest. Most on here are buying for investing in the future. I am planning on buying an apartment in one of the Red Sea Projects for the purpose of retiring there and I see that you plan of moving to El Gouna permanently. As I notice that you live in Cairo, so would be very familiar with Egypt, is there a good lifstyle community to retire in or is it mostly short term vacationers?

I will be arriving in Sharm on June 1st, so any words of wisom from you would be most appreciated.

Many thanks Margaret and very good luck to you on your move.

Masaalama

Elaine

HI Margaret,

I've a long weekend off, so trying to get as much done as possible. Its hard to know where to start!

I'm having a garage sale next saturday, so hopefully get rid of a lot of stuff then.

Only 19 more days in work, not that I'm counting lol.

I've calmed down a lot since last weekend. Everytime I thought about it I felt sick. I'm ok now, just excited but I'm sure that in a few weeks the nerves will set in again.

I hope the move goes well

Lyndsay

Hi Margaret - good luck and we are all thinking of you. Look forward to reading your updates when you are able to get back online.

Surrey is a bit dismal today as well - had a lovely day out in Kingston yesterday. Went to a lovely Tapas restaurant which is on the Thames. Lovely food and a very nice jug of Sangria - it was like being on holiday again!!
