Hi Jules like you we really want to move out but cant until we are debt free. Although we dont have a mortgage we still have the loan to pay back. Unless we get a regular wage that will cover the loan and living expenses then we will have to wait another 4 years. In that time we will be debt free and the only bills will be water, elec and insrance in Sharm. A little lottery win wll do me! We are too far off retirement yet so will need to work.

Default Vet in Hurghada

Dr Sami is excellent. I don't have a pet but was a dog sitter for two years in El Gouna where there are many dogs. They all used Dr Sami and I have been to his practice in Hurghada. A vet opened in Bustan (workers village) in El Gouna but most still prefer to travel into Hurghada to see Dr Sami.

Can't say I disagree. And by then we'll have missed the boat.

Tell him he can keep the first years 8% rental income towards his fast car, or even all 5 years of it LOL Remind him of how much money you'll be saving on your annual holidays. You're in a similar position to me, 2 adults plus 2 teenagers. Our holidays are averaging not much short of £3k for 2 weeks. Average flights for 4 are around £1,500 and you won't have to pay for accomodation so that saves at least another £1k a year, he can use that for petrol

Trouble is hes already got his fast cars & another open day Sat! I threw the letter away this year but the **** rang him instead!

He usually only has 2 weeks away a year & if I told him he had to go to the same place every year, he'd shoot me. In fact that was one of his arguments - that if it didn't rent, he'd be "obliged" to holiday there each year. So I have to prove investment potential all the way.

Ok, so rent it out to friends and family during the 12 weeks that are yours. The rental you get from that will pay for you to go on holiday elsewhere. Bottom line is, this is a win win situation really, at the end of the day you have a property which will be your capital, even if it did prove difficult to re-sell in the future, you're not losing anything by sitting back and collecting the rental! £5k to £6k per year is some interest rate not to be sniffed at, we've had £50k sat in high interest investment accounts for almost 5 years now and hardly made a bean!

In another 6 years he'll be ready for a new motor, guarantee it LOL

If that doesn't work, try a nice candle lit romantic dinner and a massive steak (hopefully he's not vegetarian!)

Pleased you're enjoying the posts LSab
