ps.Doesnt need to be near British Resort.Would be useful if within walking distance though.
Dear Jules,
there is 1 bed 2 minutes walking from British resort within your budget
is this ok for you

Hi there both, I am actually booked into the Hor Palace Hotel for the week...I know it sounds daft but it gives me the best of both worlds as I have the use of the facilities there ..beach..pools...restaurant etc. Only cost me £78 for half board. Booked on the net through TravelRepublic.co.uk. The Hor Palace hotel is only a short walk away from the Desert Pearl so is ideal.
Unfortunately I fly back to Birmingham on the 20th or we could have met up but I hope you sort things ok. Maybe we will meet some time in near future.
Cheers, Alan B401

Hi Dawn, lovely to see you back I didn't post yesterday as we were in Dubai for the day - not my sort of place at all!! (Sorry Vix ) It's kind of like Bahrain times ten, though I have to say, they've made a huge effort to make the place green while Bahrain, on the other hand, is keeping itself busy ripping up thousands of trees. Real shame.

Sounds good to me...I look forward to meeting you both and I hope all goes well with the takeover of your apartment. I hope to sort mine out on the saturday.
See you in the Frog at about 8 then.... I'm six foot tall and have a shaved head...should narrow it down a bit when looking for me (If I wear my Coventry City footy shirt that will definately narrow it down to one!)
Cheers,Alan

Whilst I'm enjoying being cooler, (especially yesterday when it rained all day and my only coat is not waterproof so got wet to my underwear). Today has been lovely, sunny, nice temp. etc, went to a car boot sale and got the bargains in Asda, I'm now bored, where is the noise, hustle and bustle, no one has anything to say, OH I MISS DUBAI.

Poor you! Where are you in the UK that's so quiet with no-one talking to you In the end it probably comes down to the people rather than the place, so those that you were once close too gradually grow away and it's not the same anymore. Unfortunately I've lost lots of friends over the years this way - or at least we've let each other go bit by bit (we need a sad emoticon!!).I've also got friends that I've known forever
Anyway after all that, you'll love Dubai even more when you get home but how are you going to feel when you leave it behind for good?!!

Hi there Alan and Jax,
Unfortunately I fly back on 20th as I'm only there for a week this time to sort things. How long are you there for? We can maybe meet up some time in the future. Cheers, Alan
