Hi Again Linda. yeah I heard from Lyndsay about over a week ago, I know she is probaly really busy at mo, settling in and everything so hope to hear from her again soon. Me and Wayne have just got in from a night out on our own which is very rare, we had a lovely time and are a bit merry. I am so excited about going to egypt and it cant come soon enough for me!! lol. Do you know if anyone else from here is going over September 12th, I know we are going to be pretty busy for our first time over, but it would be nice to meet up with someone from here just once at least for a drink.

Default sunshine, words and living the life!

hi dawn

your message made me smile this sunday morning, sometimes we can get lost it seems to me anyway (i am a therapist) in the unpositive thoughts your sunshine made me remember why i am doing this, of course there might be problems, but you know what if we are brave enough to do this, buying in another country, arent we brave enough to conquer other things that might come along, i dont know whether i like the word brave though, but lots of people seem to be using it when they hear what i have done! what do you think?

hope i have not gone on too much!

Hi Nubian - you can go on all you want lol. Talking about brave. I was really proud of myself as I flew out and spent a week in Sharm on my own. I even flagged down and used the minibuses and sat amongst the workers on them on my own!! Never paid more than 2le to go anywhere ( 20p ) If I can do it anyone can xx

hi queenie from another queen! i totally agree with what you said, you had a site talking about adventures! ive not talked about mine that lead to this adventure of buying an apartment, not brave enough to do that! however i love the fact that you are doing the things that egyptians do everyday, you really get to see the life that way much more exciting, i havent been to sharm, but i will definetly be in the old town of hurghada at the cafes smoking shisha or no!

After reading one of the posts on the diseases that you can get from smoking shisha, I'd recommend that you stay clear!!

hi linda

thank you for your message about shisha, egyptians particularly the men smoke anyway, so i am going to send it to friends but whether it makes any difference is another matter, nevertheless this one will not be smoking after reading the article.

shokran

Hi Nubian Queen, I agree people have said the same to us, but we have wanted to buy abroad for so long, but got to scared to do so, that we just went for it. Its not for an investment, just to enjoy and for family and friends to use if they want to. Personally I want it to escape as much of Englands winter as I can at a time. Bit hard at the mo cos children at school. At the moment its raining really hard here! So its your first time to buy abroad aswell then? No you haven't gone on. Its nice listerning to other people and how they are doing with their property.

Default escape to the sun!

hi dawn

nice to hear from you and your plans for your apartment, i would like it to be for family and friends only, but i have to make a living and i am hoping that when i retire along with my therapy practice i will have enough to live on! i am in love with egypt, its so spiritual to me, have you been? already. so may different parts of egypt that are amazing, i have an egyptian partner and friends, so very warm and welcoming, so i get to see the egyptian side which i love, you are welcome to join us for an egyptian time if you wish.

i am so excited learning a lot from this site sometimes scary but knowledge is power so they say, so i am trying to ask the developer lots of questions as they come up. can i check again are you going to be in hurghada, there is a womans group that they are setting up interested?

once again thanks for your sunshine

Hi Nubian, I have never been to egypt yet, but I have heard so many good things about it. I cant wait to get out there and see for myself. We are going in September, but only for 6 days as we have to get our keys, snag the apartment and see a notary etc. Will be busy first time out. Then we are going again in December and then with the children in Feb half term. When you say womens group, do you mean a religious womens group? We would love to join you for an egyptian time, that would be lovely thank you. You must of been out there alot. Speak soon, take care.

Hi Dawn,

There is a thread about starting a womans group in Hurghada - not a religious one by the way - but I don't think it's got past the talking stage. I know that there is a very successful one in Sharm and another, I think, in El Gouna but somebody needs to get cracking on one in Hurghada!!

Linda
