Default Arabic for beginners

ahlan wa sahian = hello, nice to meet you
SabaaH ilkheer = good morning
misaa' ilkheer = good evening
izzayyak = how are you (to a man)
izzayyik = how are you (to a woman)
alot of the language is said different to a man than a woman so instread of leaning one language you need to learn two
la' = no
shukran = thankyou
in sha'allaah = god willing. (you will hear this most of the time it almost automatically follows every sentense).

my mostly used sentence is
itneen biira min faDlak = two beers please.
and ashuufik bukra, in sha'allaah = i'll see you tomorrow god willing, With the right kind of slightly doubtful intonation, it can even be a polite way of saying NO

hi all,

I have an Arabic For Beginners audio CD (on 4 CDs) converted into MP3 format, it is an excellent way of learning as it helps you with your Pronunciation, and i seem to be piicking it up quite quickly.
It is quite a large file so not sure whether i can send it direct by E-mail but i can try! PM for any more help

Chris
