Default Long Term House Rental

Hello,
Could anyone offer information on long-term property rental in France - or direct me to any old postings on the subject.
Husband & I are looking at selling up in UK but unsure of purchasing straight away. Not looking for holiday rentals - but something long term, rural/semi-rural/village location inland France with moderate weather.
Have looked on web - but only seem to come up with shorter holiday rentals in typical tourist spots!
Thanks.

Default Long Term House Rental

Hey Orlando,
Most long term lets in France are for a minimum of a year and are unfurnished - you also get into 2 form of Council tax, gas/electricity/TV license etc

We did what you are intending to do just over 3 years ago - Sold up in UK and rented a furnished holiday flat (out of season) by the month to get a better rate and looked round for a property - the town advice centers all have lists of rental property available and it is a deal that is easy to get out of quickly when you find the perfect place to buy...
Keep in touch

Default Hi There

With regard to a long term property lease. I have a Farm in a village just outside Vire in Normandy. We have been converting three barns into a 4 bedroom house which is due to be finished at the end of April. We will be looking to let this property once the development is complete. It is set in its own land 8444sq meters of land, an Apple orchard and its own 1/4 drive from the road so it is incredibly peaceful.

Our house is used occasionally as our holiday home so for the majority of time, you would be the only people living there. The village is just under 2 Km away with a bakery and general store offering all your essential ammeneties. The town of Vire is around 10Km away offering resturants, Super Markets and lots of shops.

Let me know if you would be interested in any further details and i will be happy to forward more to you.
Kind regards

Rob
