In fact:

Only agriculturists can purchase agricultural land/farm. For this, you have to be defined as an agriculturist by profession by the local Panchayat official where the farm is situated. You would be wondering as to how literally tens of thousands have bought farm property. Technically, it is unauthorised. Of course the government dereserves agricultural land later or regularizes the property for residential but that is a totally different issue. The procedure for purchase is the same as for any normal property. You will have to get the requisite deeds registered at the registrar/sub-registrar's office where the property is situated. Though rules for farmhouse construction differ from state to state, the thumb rule is you cannot build on more than 10% of the vacant plot. Generally you would not have restrictions on electricity and water unless of course new connections are suspended in times of scarcity.

well according to me as a property consultant u should plan to purchase a property in india in NCR region i.e. Noida, Greater Noida basically these areas are the most developed and upcoming areas of india none of other city has the future as these cities have u may plan for an investment in commercial properties with assured returns or u may plan for residential or some industrial investments i can guide u the best things if interested please contact
just wait for the right time. Timing the real state market cycle can help. You know, when it comes to things like timing the real estate market and when is the best time to invest, everyone has an opinion about real estate investing. The key to not getting creamed when you venture into a real estate investment is to have good information that is based on facts ... that is, analysis coming from hard data.

Thanks
Dear Mr. Logan
I think i am too late in replying to your query, i would suggest you to invest and settle in Tamilnadu, so that you can control your property as well and plan for your earnings from the investment. Also, Bangalore is also a good place but everywhere now a days the land prices are going like hot cake. so plan properly and take care in your investment. I can be a trusted and helpful to you, since i am doing only real estate business with selected areas and to those who wants my services for them and i dont do at randam. with regards. .R GANESAN

Nancy Arora seems like an employee of Axiom estate and is using negative tactics to defame other consultants.

Nancy isn't your company axiom also just a "Real Estate Consultancy" selling other developers properties

Real estate investments can be a profitable experience if you have a good grasp on the process involved. Selling and buying Indian property is now considered as the most profitable and attractive business opportunity in the present real estate scenario in India.Though there is a sort of saturation in the Tier 1 cities but the good news for Indian real estate is that Tier II cities started growing with the IT Sector and the industrial sector investing in such places. Thus Indian real estate is poised for a boom, taking the rest of the economy with it.The notion that Indian real estate is expensive is based more on the cost of undeveloped land, which is becoming a scarce commodity, than finished residential or office space, which is still available at reasonable prices in most places, except maybe places like Marine Drive in Mumbai or Connaught Place in Delhi. Indian Real Estate will remain bullish for the foreseeable future.n the present day scenario, if there is any powerful investment tool that brings burgeoning financial returns, it is INDIAN REAL ESTATE!!! Investors should consider the parameters minutely and meticulously to find out why investing in Indian real estate now is the best viable option.

Hi Logan,

Guess you must have already invested on the property by now-considering the fact the post was made in 2006. Anyways if not or if you are interested in buying a property/flat in Bangalore, India. I can put you across to my friend who is into Real Estate Investments.

Cheers,

SweetHome

I think there are restrictions on buying property in India for non indians and people not of indian descent.

Talk to a lawyer pre investing in this country. (unless your indian of course).

Do you know if non-Indian nationals and those not married to Indian nationals can buy land in India? I'm interested in beach front land in Kerala or possibly in Guarat.
