I am surprised that you have already paid the service charges fees when my agent has clearly told me that they have NOT been set yet. Nakheel have yet to set the service charges and to-date I am not aware of any unit holder paying them at this stage (since the value is still unknown)....

Interesting....and worrying!

I forgot to mention, my agent has informed me that they there will be 2 sets of keys provided to the unit holder. These to be collected in person.

Aswell as this, you will need a certified copy of your passport to be given to register your unit with the Land Registry in Dubai.

I am not sure about the residency permit....does anyone know anything about this??

Other information which might be useful to know: Windows are not tinted so you might need to consider installing blinds. AC will be installed. Lighting to be fitted but agent could not verify whether this included bulbs...anyone know?
Correspondence will continue to be sent to unit holders address and not direct to apartment which is good for those that are not actually going to reside in their apartments.

I am awaiting confirmation of whether my bank account is approved. Once approved I can let you know how I went about opening it. I have asked for an account to be set up in Dirhams to make it easier for me to make transactions.

Hi Folks,
I also have come from C4, I have bought from Zero4 plus I am also an agent as well. I am also waiting for a handover date to me as well.
28th Feb is a date when Nakheel handover to Zero4, but there still have not told us when we can have the keys. I suggest it will be early March.
Whats your plans, I have a brother who will be renting them for me, so u want i can let u have his address.

Some one was asking about pictures DubaiJul06 044.jpg photo - Brian McMorrow photos at pbase.com pic number 44,46,47,48,and 49 are spain cluster.

Do you have a contact name and email address at Zero4??

Is your brother living in Dubai? Does he have his own real estate business out there? I may be interested!

Razneer,

You say a certified passport copy is required for land registration, is that the same as that was required for nakheel registration, i.e. certify by notary public and then foreign office followed by UAE embassy in London certification????
also, are you in the uk, which bank are you opening your aed account??
thanks

hi everyone - i was also previously on the channel4 forum and have migrated. zero4 have told me 28th feb is completion date as far as they know, i also asked them if they could rent apartment out & give advice on furnishing it - they said another member of their team would get back to me regarding this but no one has done so yet! It would be good if we had a definite date of handover so that I can plan the journey etc and ask for time off work!!

Copy of your passport needs only to be certified by a solicitor and not the foreign office.

I will be getting at least 3 copies done just in case I am asked for more than 1 copy in Dubai.

So my bank account seems to have been approved becuase I have recieved my pin for the ATM card for my Dubai account.

I am banking with HSBC International and have opened up my account in Dirhams which make it easier for me to deposit rent/transfer money from the UK.

The way I did it was to open a current account with HSBC and then to contact offshore banking (UK) to open an account in Dubai. I received the forms online and posted them off to their Jersey branch who in turn posted them to Dubai.

I have asked for cheque book / ATM card / internet banking.

I am now waiting for final confirmation that my account has been set up.

If anyone wants the contact name for HSBC in Jersey, let me know and I will post the details. Since she knows the service I require and has dealt with it, it will be easy for her to also provide you with the same forms and information etc
