Hi All,
I am keen to talk to anyone to find out if Homes Dubai/International outfit have treated you with the same contempt I have'nt enjoyed from them. I bought an apartment in IC 19 Morocco in August 2005 (now paid in ful for 13 months), along with nearly 2,500 eurs for the service agreement. However they have told me now that this is a large studio and should be happy with that as it is nearly the same size, oh and no en-suite oh and smaller windows oh and dont expect to rent it for the same amount etc etc etc etc. You can imagine my response. I have contacted the building owners who are surprisingly helpful. Also have you recieved the contract yet, the building owners have assured me the Homes Dubai crowd picked it up at Christmas from them.
If this sounds familar to any one let me know. Or if anyone wants to swap their one bedroom apt for "a large studio" let me know. HomesDubai would probably make this comment as a serious question !!!!

Nakheel reserves the right to change things like balconies or play on the dimesnsions but it is written NOWHERE in the contract that you pay for one bed room and you get a studio. Haven't had any form of contract that spells explicitly that you are buying a one bedroom.

These people have screwed up a big way...you should ask for compensation

Gd luck!

Follow up to my previous reply:

No matter who is your agent, you should receive a contract called USPA from Nakheel
that describes your fat. That is how I found out that my studio did not have a balcony while my agent said it had. However, I believe that it was Nakheel decision to scrap and change the architecture along the way. It is written in the USPA and any way UI complained to Nakheel and that is what I have been told. However, a studio remains a studio and one bedroom remains one bedroom.

USPA: Unit Sale and Purchase Agreement

Thanks for your comments Ameer,
you have obviously had to bare the brunt of being mis-lead also, it's as you know first hand extremely frustrating. My agent in Manchester is with holding my Nakeel contract since December. The building owners told me they personally handed it to him on his last trip to Dubai. Now I am starting to realise why, if it has all the information on it regarding interior size etc etc.
I am seeking compensation, again hitting a brick wall or in this case Homes Dubai, now re-named homes International. Who have now stopped replying to my reqests, via phone and e/mail. Whats even more annoying is he will have earned over 6,000stg from interest in their bank account since I paid in full 13 months ago. Also paid into his account Dec 2006 the full amount for maintence @ 12 drms (i think it was from memory) per sq ft, which they told me was 1,083 ft of space I had purchase. So I have asked Homes to refund this also pro-rata, of my now large studio !! NO REPLY
Oh they did suggest suggest they would try to sell it for me and if they did they would then and only then give me back the original market value, I booked it at in 2005 ! The owner of the Agency acutally suggested this as a reasonable solution.

Unfortunately this is going to be an on-going saga as I dont intend taking this, now the worst service on the planet, sitting down. I am keen to hear if any body else has had similar experience's with Homes in Manchester. By the way I live in Ireland and therefore have been unable to drive to their office, I dont know if I would anyway, as i might have difficulty knowing when to take my foot of the gas and on to the brake when I got there !!!

Thanks and if anyone can suggest a course of action I can take to ease this pain please let me know
