Mary

It might be worth calling your agent from whom you purchased the property. They will have a better idea of what is going on at this stage.

There does seem to be delays all round with IC 1.

Red face

NIMA I was unable to get a photo of the lifts as they were not working.

The stair well is roomy compared to many in Dubai and some lucky apartment owners to wards the stairwell have a larger room than shown on the original plan as the stairs have been moved making only one studio apartment on each floor huge. Next time I will get the apartment number however usual practice is for the apartments to be locked up before hand over.

The apartments were open, still needed cleaning all though nearly ready no way were these apartments ready by jan 15th or jan 20th for a hand over and snag inspection and they are still not ready so some one is telling Porky Pies on the delivery dates.

Edited to add following I have to say it was missleading and deseptive of nakheel to promote The Forbidden City 3 years ago. Why did they not say on completion of the International City there will still be a huge vacant lot of sand and the Forbidden City will not have even started. Better still why does nakheel not say any thing on the status of the Forbidden City. Would you have plonked down your money 3 years ago if you knew this/ i sure would not have parted with the bucks then but this is Dubai were any thing can and will be said and worse still you will see glossy photos with vegetation and boats and lakes and water which will be changed and do not look like the finish product.

Check out google Earth for an update on the Dubai landscape. While not up to date it will give you an idea what has happend however as all of us know the brochers at the sales pitch often do not resemble the finished product and at present the Forbidden City has become the Hidden City

Wink Nakheel Service is Poor No Secret

Hate to say this to you shuaib however Nakheel have too much on their plate.

The Public Relations is a mess and whilst attempts have been made to improve it has as you have discoverd a long way to go.

I would be waiting for more positive details before jumping on the plane to confirm the hand over date as others including myself have been told hand over dates which do not eventuate.
