Seems like commision is going way beyound the law, and for some agency, they go up to 20%. I thinks all owners should put a little pressure on them so that properties will flow smoothly with no frustration.

Their excuse is that they are introduced by other party so that they too need commision, "but only 1000AED".

Prompt action is needed here guys!

now the thing is that this does not matter. even if thy have to split the commision they are only allowed 5% of the annual rent.

I have seen offices being raided by the police because agents took to much commision.

On the otherhand They'll find somebody else who will pay it.

Police, for example. RERA is also a nice location to report to, in case they have a license.
