This thread has went very quiet. Anyone out there with anymore up to date info? surely there is somebody who has new information for us! We'd love to hear from you. Anyone been given their keys this week or likely to have them in the next week or so?
Cheers.

Well, I got my keys for an M2 studio two weeks ago. Didn't pay the Land Department a penny till now. It is not required for handover.

Red face

My agent keeps saying that the fees must be paid before hand over, after checking I have since found out that they have built another 1.4% called it Land Registration fees and now admitted that they are ADMIN fees.

The Dubai Lands Department is quoted in the Gulf Newspaper as well as the Dubai press saying that it wants to clear up unscrupulous Real Estate Agents and Practises.

Lots of talk and very little action is what I have experienced.

Thank you for posting your information gtmash

Hi, am waiting for handover for my Italy apts, can you specify if you have paid any other charges to Nakheel prior to handover. Because I am getting conflicting reports about the charges to be paid & when.

Thanks

hi all, just had an email from gowealthy that they are ready to handover my apartment in N2 persia as long as I pay the charges. They want 1700aed less now (for some reason the LDC reg charge has been removed), so that will save me about £200. The total they want now is 18218aed. This is the first time I have been told that they are ready to handover.

We were told the same thing weeks ago, they were ready to handover as soon as we paid all remaining charges.
We promptly paid all, including LDC
We were then told we would be in possession by end of Feb.
All gone quiet again.
Still waiting. N3 Persia.

I got a couple of e-mails from my agent this morning saying that we can get our apartments handed over to us. They have asked us to give them 3 choices of dates when we can go over to Dubai for handover, or whether we will be sending a representative in place of us. They did say that we could not go over between 7th March and 15th March as there would not be a representative during this time. They did say that if we had already booked flights during these dates, then they would try their best to get a representative during this time but cannot guarantee it. She also sent a picture of our entrance door with a plate on it with DEWA on it and a number from them specific to our apartment. We will need this number to register with DEWA. She said she will send further info about handover details in the next few days. Anyone else heard from their agents today?

Do you know who your building owner is? We are in N3 and have been told we should not book flights yet but should know more on Monday. Nice to hear that you've had some positive news

Default handover

it is very quiet in persia cluster with only a handful of flats being occupied. I hope this is because most of the buyers are abroad and would be down in dubai within a month or so. Also there is some confusion that needs to be resolved as Nakheel seems to have upset a big chunk of investors by not being upfront about the hidden charges when the project was promoted to foreign investors with lots of changes to the original plans like forbidden city to be or not to be!!!

Our building owner is G.I. Group. They are based in London but have an office in Dubai. As I posted earlier, I am in N1 and not N3 as I originally thought!! Anybody else in N1?
