Hey I am looking to move to Dubai in January 2008. Should I contemplate buying or stick with renting.

anyone knows hows the area ard the international city,
can we get day to day items easily are there shops ard for purchasing.

There are no shops in england yet. You can find few shops/supermarkets in CBD, china or may be in italy also.(near to england Y cluster). The prices in these shops may be 5-10% higher than the normal prices.

If you have to buy for a week, then you can go to union coop. that is may be 3-5 kms across the emirates road.

Is anyone living in Intl city. I have heard of some foul smell commin in that area due to some sewage plant nearby.. is it true ?

Wat about the shops around the area for day to day shopping like grocery juices non veg etc.

How many kms is bur dubai junction from intl city.

Yes the smell is very irritating and horrible.
On top of that the power plant is not far away.
But never mind Dubai marina has a Power plant 10 times bigger next door to JBR.
So welcome to Dubai splash the cash and enjoy the smell and the power chimneys.

How people are goin to live in this area when there is so much bad odour.
U mean the moment person is out of the house he will be caught up by the bad odour.. thats very annoying.

dont know why constructions of heavy sort done in such dirty areas.

there is so much of deserted land did the builders get this specific area only to construct the so called International city which is just for name with all the dirty atmosphere around.

Pathetic....I dont think people will live here for long.
