dude.. u seem to be really hateful of intl. city.. i don't know why..

every post you reply to.... u shoot down all hope any1 has of getting an apartment soon. u respond to every post relatievly rudely correcting or shooting down some1's question about handovers. Unless u actually work in nakheel u can't go around blabbing "it'll take 4 months to get your keys, blah blah blah". One bad experience doesn't mean everyone will face the same problems you did.

Its really hard for some1 whoz sitting a couple of thousand miles away to watch over their hard worked investment. A lotta ppl haf worked hard over a number of years to come up with enuff money to buy apartments. When you crack a comment like "ferget ur apartment for another 3 months" or "u invested in nakheel... thats wat u shud expect" its very inconsiderate and insensitive...

u're not the only one living in intl. city... i live in persia too.. i've seen cluster P of France been complete for the past month and a half. The last sector to finish up in France was cluster Q. This dude up here whoz saying his apartment is ready of handover wouldn't lie pointlessly.. he doesn't have anything to gain!!! So chill out!

I've heard from a number of ppl that a lot of buildings are being handed over in Cluster P of France. Namely a lot of two digit buildings (i.e. 14, 17, 27, etc. etc.) are the first ones that are being given. The biggest problem at the moment is the fact that because of Eid, everything in Dubai is closed sooo.. not much can happen right now.

Heres hoping that after a wonderful break of holidays, we all will receive good news about our apartments!!

Eid Mubarak and a Merry Christmas to all!!

Angry France P5

I have just received an intimation from the building owners of the handover date of P5 as 17-Jan-08 and asking us to pay 19,198/- as the maintenance fees and land registration fees for 1-BR. The strange thing is that until the last time I spoke to the owners' representative (a week ago) he insisted that there are no further charges that need to be paid by us and Land registration could be done by us later by us after the handover.

I think this is a rip-off because:
1. They are charging 11.7 psf maintenance which exceeds some of the luxury developments in dubai
2. They are charging for Insurance and Affection Plan which are the owner's responsibility
3. Land Registration charge - 2%. The fee from Land department is supposed to be 1% from owner and 1% from purchaser
4. Administration charges of 3,000/- which they have no right to charge.

If you have contacts of other people in the building we should join hands together and not pay the fee and instead jointly protest. My mobile no is 050-6588029

Cool France

Dear ffhhkk,

I think georgihh is absolutely correct in his pessimism and negativity about IC and Nakheel. I purchased my apt in France in Nov'04 with a promise that it will be delivered before Jun'06. It is Jan'08 now and I am still waiting in hope. We got a notice in Oct'07 from the owners that the building is ready with a handover date of 28-Oct and were made to pay the final installments as well. The building looked ready and everything seemed hunky-dory while I paid the final cheque. It has been 2.5 months since then and I call up the owner every single day chasing them up & down 2 times every day and only today did I receive a handover intimation from them. Based on past experience I am still very doubtful of the handover as the owner or Nakheel will find more reasons to delay it even further.
So the bottomline is that the pessimism against IC has only grown out of experience.
