That is excellent news about you all getting your keys. I also have a studio in Persia so hopefully I won't be too far behind. Who did you buy through? What was the actual process of actually getting the key in your hand? How much notice did they give you to go and collect them. I am just wondering if we will need to go and book a flight last minute. Is their a time limit from when you are told the keys are to be handed over and actually collecting them? Let's hear from everyone when they get their keys too? Cheers.

Default handover and keys

My agent is dubai property link and was very clear with all aspects of handover from building owners. Basically you should show receipts of all payments made to them in respect of land dept charges, maintenance charges and miscellaneous charges(affection plan, processing fee, liason fees) and then you meet up with them at the building and get your keys from the representative in dubai. Well this is my experience but I am in dubai right now so it is better to find out from your agents what set up is arranged from investors away from UAE.Tip: Takeout printouts from any transactions online and keep them safe.

I can't tell you much about the actual procedures we had to go through to get our keys - my wife is the one on the ground in Dubai and doing all the hard work, bless her - I'm flying in next week. The building owner we've been working with is Nam Real Estate, and they've been very helpful and professional.

Thumbs up

I have been checking this forum regularly and have been really pleased at the info and replies we have been getting, but unfortunately it all seems to have went very quiet over the last couple of days. C'mon everyone who has bought in Persia, how are things going, have you had anymore info/updates from your agents and any signs of you getting your keys yet?
Cheers.

Default Stay or go?

It's a shame that people like Wayneis have been made to feel that they have no choice but to sell their apartments after 3 years of waiting and only Nakheel can be blamed for that. I only purchased by Greece studio in September 06 and even I am a little annoyed at the lack of communication. I personally still think I.C is a good investment for the small amount paid for the properties and will be sticking it out. I'm still banking on Dubai Land pushing prices up in the future and rental income in the meantime. It's also not a good time for me to sell due to the srong pound at present. I think the Persia cluster looks great and hope the Greece sector will be equally as good. I'm trying to work out from the pics I've seen if the Greece buildings have balconies. Good luck to everybody getting handover at present and please remember to let us know on here the process you had to go through. It's sometimes tricky buying a property thousands of miles away.

Default i also quit dubai

Just like Wayneis, i too have had NO respect for any of the developers out in Dubai. They will fax and email you when your late for your payment but any questions about delays, heh, forget even a true answer. Its shambolic that they havent valued their customers especially with the money they are making. However, like Wayneis i too have sold my property in Dubai and am pulling the plug. Our Phase III project has been delayed by 1 year. Naturally why would a developer want to tell their customer of delays it only spells bad news. I made some money on the resale but the main thing is i dont have the headache of parting with cash where i dont see any feedback. Patience will probably pay off so good luck to all those who are riding it through im sure when its completed it will be great.

Come on guys any good news. Has anyone else had keys for Persia? What's the snagging/handover process. Some of us are feeling positive and excited that we will shortly be taking possession of our apartments

My building owner's company says they now have the keys. I'll be given the keys after I show them the DEWA receipt and also refund the Nakheel fees that the buidling owner paid Nakheel already on my behalf (Dhs 2850). Apparently I don't pay the government anything yet for now.

And by the way, it seems some of you guys are being taken for a ride by your building owners if they're charging you as much as Dhs 1000 to be the middle-man for Nakheel. My building owner doesn't seem to be doing that.

Thumbs up finally Received the keys in hand

Hi. Everybody,

It was nice to finally hold the keys of my apartment in my hand. I received the keys on 10th. of feb.3 sets of keys 3 keys for the main door & another 3 keys for bedroom door.

I have sign the Handover letter for my 1 bed room unit & they have written in the same letter the DEWA no. & ask me to go with first page copy of my agreement & the Dewa no. they had given in Handingover letter , pay 1000 Aed deposit for connection of electricity & water But since i will be renting out my apartment then the tenant will have to go by himself of herself & pay deposit & get connection from DEWA.

Untill now i did not find any tenant & i have ask my building owner to rent out my apartment & signed the authority letter for them. to do the neccessary arrangement.

I Hope by now lot of people would have have got possession of their apartments in Persia because Nakheel have handed over 11 buildings of Persia
to the building owners.
I left Dubai on 16th. Feb. untill this time i have not get any tenat

Good luck to all
