I am proceeding with my purchase, having got in at the pre-launch stage. I am now awaiting sight of the contract. The prices quoted above were the pre-launch prices and what was originally £75k is now selling for £106k, part of the increase being due to the increased space. To me they represent better value than RT6 in Saidia? Does anyone else agree/disagree?

I think the La Plage units represent good value. We could debate whether other developements will be better or otherwise, but I'm not aware of any with such breath taking views.

Has anyone investigated the Salama Valley 2 development outside Marrakech (previously known as Gardens of Fedala 2). I am a bit confused by the number of similarly named and structured deals around. The price I am being offered seems too good to be true (Euro 94k for 120m2 2 bed property) ... with the only justification being that a previous development in the Atlas Mountains I had commited to fell through.

cpreston. That doesn't sound like the Gardens of Fedala development I visited.* 2 bed properties there were around the 190k Euro mark. Who is offering it at 94k - or have you missed a digit from the price?

*I say visited - there was nothing there when I went along. Was there to view development next door (Samanah Country Club)

If the project comes off and the developer does'nt go bust (perhaps due to the credit crunch meaning developers cant access borrowing) then these will be a good investment given the outstanding views asnd being well above sea level.

I would urge everyone nowadays to insist on a copy of the company accounts before parting with any money. Should include access to any parent company accounts also.

Investy: I agree with you about the Company accounts. However the truth is that they are historic i.e. atleat 12 months out of date. As we all know the financial world moves much faster.

I have also been offered a transfer to the Salama Valey 2 project following the failure of the Olive Grove project. I visited the site in the autumn last year and spent time with a representative of the French developer. I was assured that all legal documentation regarding land ownership, permission to build etc were completed and that building would commence in the first week of December 2007. Still no work has commenced and recent communication suggests that not all the legal documentation is in place.

The site is a good 20 - 25 minute drive from Marrakech, it is quite isolated - that may be a good point - there was no evidence of any other developments within view of the site.

My main concern is the continued delays and distance from Marrakech. Has anyone else signed for this project and/or visited the site?
