I have recently come back from Aqaba and feel that it qualifies as a new emerging market. There is a lot of money being thrown at the area which is a tax free haven, one of the most important things that recently happened to Jordan was that Ptra was voted in as one of the new seven wonders of the world and tourism is expected to increase substantially. Aqaba is only 1.5 hours from Petra and there is a lack of good hotel accommodation in the area.

There will be casinos, built plus at least two new golf courses. Aqaba sits on the Red Sea in the Gulf of Aqaba so diving is great.
Property is relatively cheap and I have a new development in Aqaba with great sea views from £55,000.
