I think this could be someone trying to make a quick buck.

I think there are better developments around and if not i think i might wait till one comes around.

What do you think
Hi GuyR, if you are seriously interested in buying in Tunisia but are not sure about the developer or the site then i could arrange for you to visit. As i have mentioned before i have been on holiday in Port El Kantoui for the past 4 years and think it is very good. You have the odd naughty shop assistant that doesn't know when to accept you don't want to buy anything but other than that PEK is a good place. So i am confident that if you visit you will buy, therefore let me know and i will arrange for you to go over and meet the developer and hopefully but your concerns to bed.

Email me if you want more details.

No need i was out there last weekend but was a little upset by the whole situation, i went there to view a certain development but when i got there i found out that they weren't selling it any longer and in fact i dont think they ever had the rights to sell it however. I dont want to mention who the agent was but frankly i wouldn't advice anybody to go on an inspection trip with them because they are very unprofessional. (Im sure you know who i mean) One good thing is i have found out through someone there that one company has the full rights to sell this development, im am thinking about using them.
A unhappy client

Hi GuyR, this are quite serious issues, i and many others would find it very useful if you post who these people are that have no rights to sell. I would also like to know the new company you have found that has the rights.

Thanks.

Just wanted to add that I'm purchasing (through Neil) on the Dunes and so far, very happy with no complaints.

I'd also like to know the info that you have Guy. Having pulled out of 3 developments in Hurghada for various reasons, I'd hate to see harmful rumours circulating in Tunisia too.

By the way, we're hoping to get a forum started for Tunisia shortly.

Hi GuyR, i have already arranged inspection trips and the people i use do have the rights to sell the developments, i have all the DD paperwork from an independent solicitor. If you are seriously interested please let me know and i will ensure you are looked after properly.

Talking

Further to my previous 2 posts, I have just come back from Tunisia and am currently in the process of arranging finance for my purchase at the Dunes. The company who is the master agent for that development was nothing but professional, in fact they had taken me down to see the Le Voilier in Mahdia which I have to admit wasn't as good as it looked like on the pictures. I was keen on seeing Le Voilier after reading these posts as I had seen it advertised by a company from Calabria, Southern Italy, who I believe made some posts in this thread too, post number 3 on the first page has their name within the posters username (3 letters), and I believe the recent one, GuyR was from one of their employees too.

This Italian-Irish company had been advertising this Le Voilier development at below €25,000 which was very misleading (considering prices are from €68,000), and for that and for some other seriously concerning reasons which I couldn't possibly comment on in this post, the developer told me that they decided not to work with this company. Therefore the recent comments should really come as no surprise considering how bitter this company must be to lose the development. I don't think they should be allowed to promote properties in Tunisia at all considering their track record (one should also read some other highly disturbing comments on them on incalabria . com forum, certainly an interesting read) In any case I am glad I have never bought an apartment through them in Calabria. Perhaps looking through GuyR's previous posts you will notice the one he made on Southern Italy too, whereas all others were designed to discredit the master agents behind the Dunes. Its not hard to see what this individual's motives are to anyone with half a brain.

My experience with the company in Tunisia has been nothing but great and I would urge only genuine people to post their comments on this site, as it is not designed for the purposes GuyR is using it as.
