About a month ago, I promised to get the names of the ski resorts that "Ski, the Magazine of Ski Life" was recomending for investment. They had a good reason for each location as to why it was a good place to invest, new developement, increased transportation and access, etc.

Here's the list, in order, plus a couple of comments from me about some of the areas:

Revelstoke Mt Resort, Revelstoke, Canada

Truckee, California, USA

Taos, New Mexico, USA (A very artsy beautiful area that has always been a very strong real estate market)

Durango Colorado, USA (It's hard to go wrong with land in the state of Colorado)

Rangley, Maine, USA

Ogden, Utah, USA

Sandpoint, Idaho, USA (Idaho state has been a safe place to invest, slower growth, but solid)

Honorable mention:

Gunnian, Colorado, USA

Red Lodge, Montana, USA (The state is Montana is bitter cold in the winter, but that probably doesn't matter if you are buying in a ski resort)

Loon Mountain, New Hampshire, USA

Long shots:

Krasnaya, Russia

Jumbo Mountain, British Colombia, Canada
