I've just bought a holiday villa in Florida and want to use it for my holidays and also rent it out when I'm not there. When looking at companies to advertise with I'm struggling to work out which one to go with. Can anyone give me any advice?

You have lots of choice. Appears that there s one new holiday rental website every week out there...

- for UK guests, i d go ownersdirect or holidaylettings
- for US guests, you have all the vacationrentals lists of websites
These are paying websites.

Then for free ones, you will have:
- iowners
- perfectplaces
- rentalsystems (but they take commission on rents)
- holiday-auction-direct
- vacationsfrbo

Thanks - I went with Direct Holiday Bookings as they were free, not like some of the other sites. Have a look they are at Holiday accommodation for rental | DirectHolidayBookings.co.uk and seem to be doing well for a new holiday rental site.

You may be better off contracting with a local property management company that can handle the rental and housekeeping for you. Sure it will cost you a percentage of the rental income. But it will far out weigh the pressure of you trying to manage a property from another state.

Hmilesjr makes a good point - how are you managing the property at the moment? It does sound like a paid service would be worth the expense.
