Default Tax rates in Portugal

Hi, I'm new to this site and am possibly moving to Lisbon in the next few months. I am trying to get some basic info to help us decide if it's a good move. Can someone tell me the basic income tax rates in Portugal, and how much international schools cost for 12 and 15 yr olds? I am grateful for any help you can give me.
Thanks
Camden

Default Tax rates in Portugal

Income tax rates here in Portugal vary according to marital status, declared salary and ALSO how many dependants you have. If you are earning the minumum salary which is 374.70(!) Euros there is no income tax. A married man with 4 children earing 1000+/- Euros you will pay 9.5%. A single person with 3 children earing 820+/- Euros you will pay 3.5%. I did have a list from our accountant can't find it at the moment but I'll try and find it on a web site for you. It will be in Portuguese but if you just looking at numbers and percentages it shouldn't be a problem

PS If you hang on to all your 'health' receipts and invoices from schooling and purchase of school materials etc this can be submitted at year end to help you get a tax return.
Thanks
Chandler
