Try out these sites for property search

BCI Real Estate: Properties, Flats, Villas, Houses, Lands, Plots, Farms, Buildings, Offices, Shops and/or Warehouses for sale or rental in Portugal

realestate.yellowpages.pai.pt: houses, flats, buildings, lands, garages for sale or rental

As for work there are several sites in the Portuguese Web but found none with english version... You can try this

Job Search, Find a Job, Jobs by e-Mail, Register CV with StepStone

as they have an ads database on Portugal.

Good Luck

Hi, I heard from 4Front Property Investments that you will get a lot better value for money in Portugal rather than Spain.

Thumbs up Property taxes and some investor information

Hi,

You will have to pay 25% Capital gains tax on any profit from property sales in Portugal before or after completion. The only way to legally avoid this is to immediately put your funds into another property investment in Portugal without leaving any cash for yourself.

Let me tell you about my business. I am looking for investors or partners (we pay 1% commission one every referred sale) My business is to find investors for the Portugese (and the international) market. We are the only company to my knowledge which offers a unique package for investors who wants maximum returns for minimum cost. This is possible with us, we specialise in off plan investment with minimum 12 months left to completion. We pay all your expenses and no deposit payment needed as long as mortgage is approved by the banks (Banif and BPI). We make it possible to walk away with profits without spending a penny, it's a no cost, no risk operation
(25% on capital gains tax still required unless reinvested immediately but remember, you are not spending a penny on the purchase unless you complete). Developments are all over Portugal, we'll match each investors criteria to available developments. Choices are made after financial assessment.

See it to beleive it, link to our website and presentation:

Default They are absolutely right - and here's some more news

Another day in paradise...greetings from Algarve, Portugal

They are absolutely right, Spains market has gone through the roof (too much crime and massdevelopment) and investors are looking our way. Strict licensing rules, no mass development, infrastructure and a massive tourist market has made Portugal one of the best markets in the world. Has been for a long time and still going strong.

Are you thinking of investing in Portugal? Don't invest until you read about what me and my company can do for you...

We make it possible for you to invest in Off Plan property with no risk, no cost because upfront deposit and transaction costs necessary. You will walk away with a profit without having to spend a penny. Too good to be true, yes we do hear that a lot but read our website and presentation to beleive it:
