Exclamation Consider this before buying in Spain

Price pain in Spain drives Spaniards to look for investment property abroad

With property prices now sky high, Spain’s 10-year real estate boom is starting to cool and fears of a downturn are causing even Spanish investors to cash in and move out. Analysts expect Portugal and Germany to benefit from the exodus. More at: International real estate and property investment news

RUBBISH

This is yet another privatley run website with NO govermental backup what so ever, sensationalism yet again at its BEST...i mean just look at the title of the webiste "blah blah blah...digging the dirt on something so everyone will read my site"

And last year Spain´s Capital Appreciation was projected to be 15.7% but we actually had 16.8%.

I have a multitutde of investors from Buy To Lets to Off Plan, and ALL are still making good money.
EG: I sold to one NEW investor last year, purchased 2 units at €240,000 and sold both THIS year for €285,000.....................so after agents fees and CAPITAL GAINS TAX was paid he walked away with €35,442.445 PER UNIT.........PROFIT

And this is NOT a one off.

Cheers
EasySpain

Sound a little stressed there EasySpain. Worried that you and your (I am assuming foreign) investors won't be seeing such high returns again at the expense of the locals?
Curious what has happened three days after your so confident and well-informed post.

What planet are you on Easy. Spain is a dog market. 50% of real estate went to the wall last year.

The figures you give are absolute rubbish. Spain is a nightmare. A few green buyers here and there can not mask SPAIN is an awful market.

Some people just can't see it and believe the BS - Think in a few years after it has dropped more then it will pick up.

Default Times ARE hard

We've noticed a drop in prices since 2005 and the market here is still falling, so in theory now and maybe the next few years IS a good time to buy in Spain.

Have a look at any real estate website and you'll see that each week home owners are dropping their prices. If the homeowners are having to drop, so are the builders and constructors.

Issue is majority see it but some fools don't and are taken in by the BS. However, people have to make up their own minds and buy what they think is best for them.
