Many thanks Brian.

We plan to let the property and have a lawyer on the case. So, I trust they know all this!

'2008... turning point for Spain' What do you mean by this?

Hello jerard

Thank you for your introduction and offer to supply information.

I would like to know what your opinion is on further investment in property in Spain.

Demand for Spanish property is on a downward trend and there is a glut of houses. Which means there seems to be little point of going over to Spain with the hope of fixing up a piece of property and selling it with some profit, considering the amount of houses and appartments on the market.

Or is it the case there is still investment to be made by concentrating on appartments or houses nearer to prime central locations of big cities like Valencia, Alicante etc despite the glut of houses/appartments and the downward trend in demand?

Or am I just "howling" in the wind?

Appreciate any views you would have on this. Thank you.

wolf.

By a turning point I mean that in the future all the old problems which arose when buying in Spain have now gone
Having to pay ' black money' being sold properties which did not have full permits
Buyers being encouraged to complete without Habitation Licences
Now for example the infrastructue has to be put in first so builders can not avoid providing the facilities they advertise
Basically the property business in Spain is being cleaned up by new government regualtions making it a safe place to buy

Sounds great. My lawyer has just mentioned they will not be proceeding without the HL being in place.

As this is our first in Spain, I would welcome your thoughts on how successful we will be in letting. We will be visiting soon but, this does appear to be the start of a large development in a relatively unknown location, which could be good for holidaymakers, assuming the resort is nice and the publicity is good.

Regards,

Lou

Default Introduction

Hello,

My name is Len Bage and my company is called Primo International Property. I am based in the mountains near Marbella and operate a business which has involvement in overseas property for investment, coastal and inland Spanish property.

For some unknown reason, I can't give you any email or web details on here but its easy enough to find if you put www in front and com at the end of my company name (no gaps, no hyphens, no capitals!)!

I work with some UK agents and collaborate with a select few in Costa Blanca/Murcia regions too.

Feel free to contact me 0034 661 297 210 if I can help anyone.
