Default long term lease in Spain or Italy...???

My husband and I have a bit of a complicated situation. We have lived in the Alicante area for 11 months. Unfortunately, we live across the street from about 30 'on the job full time' roosters. Can't take it any more. Although, I love Spain, my husband hates Spanish food, or so far, any of the restaurants we have been to. The only food he likes is authentic Italian or Greek. He is German and finding these restaurants in Germany is no problem. Living in Germany is not a consideration any more because we both hate the cold weather...His heart beats for Italy....the culture, food, language, music etc. etc. etc...I agree that it is an amazing country; however, because of his profession (corporate jet pilot), we would have to be within 2 hours of the Rome airports....so far, with our needs of an independent house with at least 3 bedrooms and a large garage, leasing is at least double the cost of Spain. I am wondering if anyone else has done this compairson? ...and if anyone has any 'authentic' Italian or Greek restaurant recommendations in the Alicante/Murcia area.....or, if anyone has any leads for a long term lease in the Alicante / Murcia or Malage, it would sure be appreciated...Thanks

Default Wow sounds like you are stressed

Seems like you are dealing with alot of different issues at once.

Take one at a time to get some sleep, get another place, if you want to relocate go on holiday to the areas surrounding rome, have a look around.

Why are you renting instead of buying anyway.

There is alot of rental properties in around Alicante and landlords want good tenants.

Hello, and thank you for your response. Sounds like good advice. As far as buying, that is definately in the plan as soon as we determine the right locations and lifestyle configerations. We just sold our airpark home in the U.S. Loved that lifestyle. Have looked at the Mucia airpark development but it's so far out from being developed and the lots are so small...considering buying another airpark lot in Florida and building a 'hanger home' as vacation get away ...or, considering just buying a nice villa in Spain or Italy once we find the area we like and feel confortable with where the market is going. With our lifestyle, two or three years in one spot is a long time. The formula has to be right... Would rather lease first in Spain....but need a large garage...

Default Muchamiel, alicante

There is a small club in Muchamiel outside of Alicante you can get a hanger there.

We may be doing our own project as well with hangers etc, but is a little down the road.

Simply, buy then rent when you want to move on instead of wasting money renting. That is better. (in my opinion)

Hello again, and thank you for your response. What is your long term project. ............I agree, buy first and then rent; however, we do do not know our market yet...In no rush. By the way, nice website.

Default Nutshell

Build hangers possible to rent, and aviation location. Will let you know when ready to launch. Could be 6 months away yet.
