Default Any Interest In the Canary Islands?

Hi,
Im new to this forum - well quite new, and I was hoping that I might forge some links with people.

I am not in a position to advise / help with the whole of spain but I am based in the Canary Islands and do have a pretty extensive network of people and resources here.
If I can be of any use to anyone, please get in touch!!

Unhappy tashy

Hi nicola , I´m South African and have been in Tenerife CAnary Islands for 3months now , however I am going back to S.A COS MY VISA IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE .
I have had such trouble trying to get a work permit or even a contract as to apply for my NIE , its driving me crazy .
I´m really disappointed as I want to live in TEnerife and make a life for myself here .
Now i´, going back and can only get another tourist visa (unless I get a work permit )after 3 months .
Its just so much time and money wasted.
Could you help in any way or advise me .

thanks

I know that it can be dificult for sa nationals and also australians here. i do have a friend who is south african himself and who actually earns his living arranging paperwork for people here. i will ask if he can do anything remotley as he is based in Lanzarote but i will ask just in case, he may at least know the correct procedure.
I would have presumed that if you have secured work with a contract offered you wuld have to go that route to prove your "worthiness" (for want of a better description) this is how they handle south amercian people who come here and have problems with paerwork. I will see if I can find out anything for you.

Hi there

I am thinking of buying an apartment in either Lanzarote or Fuertaventura and wondered what the general market was like. There seems to be a lot for sale and I wondered if the Recession was taking hold down there like it is here in the UK?
