Thats somewhat hard, people DON'T tell you anything, maybe unscrupulous people do, but certainly not everyone. I most certainly do not ever lie to my clients, if I am asked about building conditions, structure, views to be obscured etc, I tell the truth. No Turkey is not like England, but why move here if that is what you want, maybe try Cornwall. I was an agent in the UK and now do the same job here, people making money are everywhere, it's up to the individual to trust his or her own judgement and perhaps be aided by word of mouth.

Hi Guys,
Most people are looking for a home to have, not just somthing to sell on. why do we get confused about selling it before we even buy.
At the end of the day, most people are just after a second home in the sun, with no problems and runs smoothly. The fact it may rise in value over a period of time, is normal, this happnes in most counties. What people want is to have evrthing in order.
I dont agree about selling to Turkish people, , that they wont be able to afford to buy them, manny turkish people can, there not the only buyers in the country dont forget, if you buy in an area wher other Europeans buy, not just UK buyers, then you will have many other buyers from across Europe. The facts specks from them selfs Turkey is a beautiful country, the sun shines in the south most of the year, the people are friendly, you can affrod most things there, there is so manny things to see and do and the life style is there is as good as any. This is mostly what people want.

sadly there are unscrupulous people all over the world, you mention that you were uk agent before, there is lots tv programmes and articles about SOME uk agents not doing their job properly, happens in all jobs, not just estate agents...

Dunney I agree with what you say, of course many turkish people can afford to buy properties, you just need have a look at some of the cars around to see the money.. most expats arent driving around in x5's or top of the range mercs... but plenty of turkish are...

what I would say, if some people werent so greedy in what they want for a profit, then maybe they would have more chance of selling.. I have heard loads of people say they sold their property here in Turkey, and sold to turkish, fact is, they were realistic in what to achieve price wise. If you outprice yourself out of the market, then no the turks wont be interested in what you have to sell..

Mavi I totally agree with you, as an agent in the UK there were no less unscrupulous people than there are here. But those people are there, here and everywhere. I would advise anybody to take time and talk to people who know the country not just those who bought a property to make a profit (and complain heartily when it is not as much as they hoped!) and come here a few weeks of the year and try to change the town in which they bought.

Lynne deals in all areas of turkey but at present is UK based. We found her to be very efficient and honest, no pressure at all. Would recommend her very much. You can mention my name to her if you wish. Regards Maura Noone Galway Ireland
