We've decided that rather than buy a property off plan/being built we would like to buy an older property that requires renovating with a view to letting it once complete. I have a number of questions, I hope that some of you will be able to help me.
1. Does anyone know what the sqm price should be of an apartment requiring renovation on Ataturk St. in downtown Antalya near Hadrian's gate - it's not a historical or listed building
2. What is the monthly rental income on a long term furnished rental in this location?
3. If we buy direct from owner we need someone to do the legwork (tax number, checks for debts on property etc., military clearance application, bank account opening, anything else) that the agent normally does - so should we find an agent to help us or a lawyer? - We really need someone who speaks English and knows the steps that need to be taken for a foreigner purchasing a resale property.
