There is no way that Ajman will ever rival Dubai.

Ajman is a backwater. The only reason anyone ever goes there is to buy cheaper alcohol. Dubai is a major metropolis and Abu Dhabi too. Both have money, an infrastructure, a global reputation and in AD's case oil.

Ajman is small and will never compete. Look at RAK - for years people have been saying it is the place to buy. IMO RAK and Ajman will never amount to more than the ME equivalent of provinicial towns or a place for a weekend break.

I write as somone who actually lives in Dubai.

The term "Ajman is going to be the next Dubai", means that it is going to see exponential growth and will transform itself from nothing to something. Those looking at investment with smaller budgets but still a safe bet can definitely invest here.
