If you had US$200,000 to invest in real estate. which locations would you choose to invest for best short term and best long term investments?

Well there are to many options, why dont you tell us what exactly do you have in mind so we could give you a better option...

I wouldn't invest in the UK if I were looking at fast returns, that's for sure.

with 200.000 US$ invested in Romanian real estate you can get an 25 to 30 % profit per year.

or

if you have someone there to supervise the construction of something from the ground and then sell after a year (or so) you can get almoust 100% profit (vat and tax included).


The best demand is for office class A and B buildings, almoust 10 times the supply available on the market. For example, this year, the total surface of buildings in construction with office destinations is expected to be double than last year, and the total number of square meters build in just one year is almoust equal to the total surface constructed in the last 16 years.

If anyone is interested, I have some buildings already finished or in construction to show you the price and quality for each stage and material used.

Ive just purchessed 2 plots of land from idclandgroup.com , i was begining to get a little worried about the position, as there is a little bit of bad press about idc land group. I check with their lawyers and found that planning ha been applied for for the plots. now im a happy chappy.

For returns other then the UK, have a thought about dubai. Some of the best returns on offshore property are coming from this place. In 2006 283,000 people moved there and i am working in the Uk and dubai rotationally.

Prices start at £45,000 upwards and mortgages can be arranged at 70-80% LTV.

I would say India would be a good option to consider especially south India, Celebrity in India can be targeted to make your money in a short term. If you are looking at ROI in 2 to 3 years to be honest India is the best place. $200,000 USD is about £100,000 - well you will not be able to buy anything in London for that price. A studio flat start from £110k in the cheapest areas of London. Other British cities will have affordable properties. Please be aware that you will need to find a good estate agent to look after the property....
