Hi all ...

I?m hoping someone can help me make a decision.

My wife (UK Citizen) & I have been debating a move to the UK for the past 5 years - basically since we got married! - and still haven't come to a decision.

We currently live in Canada & although it?s nice, I?m no longer excited about living here, as I feel we (Canadians) get ripped of by the amount of taxes we have to pay as well as the amount of vacation we receive. For some reason, Canada doesn't seem to be a 'World Class' country anymore despite all of its benefits.

Having visited the UK 100's of times & after having fallen in love with the country & its history, I?m very keen on making the move there ... however my wife is being a bit more of a pragmatist & is stating that everyone is leaving England to go to the States (& Canada) & without a job in hand we'd be foolish to make the move.

Are there any other Canadians on this site who can tell me their experiences? Was making the move the right choice or not? I'm an IT professional (with several years of MGMT experience) so I hope that I won't have too much trouble obtaining employment but perhaps someone could advise me of this also?

we are on the opposite side of the fence to you, meaning that we are planning on relocating to Canada from the UK.
I must say you have really shocked me, I never thought that people would want to move to UK rather than live in Canada. I guess grass always does seem greener on the other side. I know that the taxes in Canada do worry me a bit too.
On the other hand if I can be of any help with info. on UK please feel free to question away, I'll do my best to answer anything you need.

Uk lke is better than Canada. But you have to work hard. Canada life is easy but uk very hard.

the reason why that you don't both agree is because you both have the same feeling of your both country.. i hope you get my point. for me i would think practically in terms of our future and which better for longer to live with growth career then if we been success i'll just go to our both country every month. he..
