Default Moving to UK with chield

My husband and I are getting ready to actively pursue employment for me in UK. I have interviews in a few weeks and hope for an offer. We have an 11-year-old girl who is really struggling with this possible move. She loves to travel -- been to France, Mexico, throughout US -- but not happy about moving to UK even for a short period of time. Where can I find resources to help her deal with the possibility of moving? We particularly want her to be open to an international education which we think the US is weak in encouraging. We do not want her to be miserable. Any advice on how to make it easier for kids to make this big move??
Thanks
Raul

I can sympathize with you here. I am actively seeking a move out of the uk and my 10year old son was not accepting of this.

My step in the right direction? He is very keen on Tortoises, he actively cares for them at home and I suppose you could say they were his hobby!
I joined a chat forum in the country I intend going and he is meeting new people this way and getting to know their way of life. He is starting to look forward to the move now Perhaps something like this may help.

You suggest you would like some International Education, are you planning private fee paying school or state school. Which area of the uk are you aiming for. Although the Education system is very similar throughout there are a few differences between the Scottish Education and the English Education Laws/system.
Thanks
Kobe
