Default Sell For £999?!!!

Hi,

I have found the company House Revolution through google. They are an online estate agent who say they can sell your house for only £999.

I am looking for a quick sale as I am moving abroad with work so was thinking of lowering my asking price - this seems to be a good way to make back some of the difference by saving on agency fees.

Has anyone heard of the company or had any experience with online estate agents who offer low rates like this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Laura

Hi,

£999 seems to be quite expensive for an agent that simply operates online!!! You need to find out what type of marketing the agents does, do they offer anything in addition to your current agent, do they advertise on only their website or bigger national sites.....

Find out which agents are effective in your area, who has the most sale agreed and sold boards up, who hasn't??? Allot of estate agents are the same, they cannot offer a unique selling point to you as the client and often the temptation is to give a higher valuation to gain the business..............Its no coincidence smaller cheaper agents sometimes give a higher valuation, low fees and high valuation are a bad combination!!!

If your property is on the market at the moment have you had many viewings? If not its the strongest indication is your price is wrong, try reducing but not a token reduction, get more people matching to your property, use an offers over strategy and get people through the door.................Its your house you sell at the figure your happy with so if you get lower offers to start with then fair enough, its a starting point....................................If any of the agents in your area offer an auction service, consider it!!!

Dunno if that helps
