Default Need to Rent a Home Long Term in Solihull

Hi everyone,
I’m new here, but need some help. I am unable to work due to illness and so my wife and I have to rely on housing benefit. We currently rent a house in Solihull we cover our own repair bills and have laid new carpets. Our landlord who is very nice wants to increase our rent by 50%, while we like the house we can not afford this increase.
We wondered if anyone would be willing to either invest in a property in Solihull, or someone had one available to rent. We would be more than happy to help renovate a house, as long as the owner was happy to contribute to costs. All we would ask is that we could rent the property for at least five years, if not more. We can pay up to £700 per month. Hope some one can help.

I’m surprised no one has responded to my post, is this because no one has property they wish to let or perhaps it’s because I have to claim housing benefit. Despite the bad press people on benefits get, it is just a few people who make the rest of us feel like outcasts. Just by telling a letting agent you claim housing benefit, you are treated like some outcast who doesn’t desire a home or help in finding accommodation. We are not all bad and while I may blow my own trumpet, the house we currently rent has been improve by us. Since moving in we have plastered the hall stairs and landing, repair the porch, landscaped the garden and replaced some of the carpets. How many tenants would do that?
All we wish is a long term let of between five and ten years, is that to much to ask?
