Default Land Investment in Woodham

Hi,
I came across a land investment in Woodham? Anyone has a knowledge on that area? The company is still trying to get planning permissions on that land.

sha-sl,

For someone trying to sell property in England you command of English leaves a lot to be desired, and if you really are buying the sorts of plots being talked about here you really are ill-advised.

Whatever you do, think before you invest in this. You part with an initial refundable deposit of £500 and then they send you the Land Registry form. You then decide if you want to fully commit and pay the remaining £5k or - and this is where I am currently struggling - you should get you £500 back. It has been a couple of weeks since I decided not to fully commit and the communication from them has been poor - they are quick to take £500 but slow in refunding you back. I admit I was extremely naive to part with any money in the first place and its only after reviewing things afterwards with a legal colleague that things became clearer. H and M Worldwide are the company advertising this, but we dont know what they are (company / partnership etc) or where they are based. Theres no sign of any registration numbers. Their only phone number sometimes takes you to someone who speaks only spanish. And they use a Law Society approved solicitor called Staple Inn Partnership for their client operations, but this begs the question why cant they do this themselves. I have tried contacting both H and M and Staple Inn, but neither seem to want to get back to me. This was advertised on the Move Channel's website. I just wonder how much the Move Channel checks companies that advertise on there.

Del, you've been stiffed, and if you only lose £500 consider it an expensive lesson learned. All these outfits selling so called plots with potential are shysters. Only ever buy a plot with pp. It's only rhe big boys like Barratts who buy large plots with, they think, potential for pp.
