Question Student Buy To lets

Evening everyone...

As the title suggests I am after any ideas any of you may have regarding the student buy to let market. I was back in Swansea a couple of weeks ago and there are 5 bedroom houses selling for around 200,000 where you can probably rent the house for 12-15,000 a year to students. They also have 350,000 houses with 8 bedrooms bringing in around 25 grand a year.

My current thoughts are that I might wait until next summer and hopefully as long as the government dont meddle with the housing market it may well drop another 20% and at that price it may prove a better investment.

I just wanted to get your ideas on if this area is something to be looking into as your more experienced than me normally.

I did look at Southampton where I studied and Bristol but the houses are still crazy expensive for what your getting.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated
Jon

well I hope that you were aware that the housing prices were going down rapidly. Till now more than 10% of the prices were down. It is expected to go down more in new year. I advise you to buy when the prices ceash more in the new year.
